Zac Efron is an American actor. He portrayed Cameron Bale in Summerland.
The surname "Efron", which is Hebrew and a Biblical place name, comes from Zac's Polish Jewish paternal grandfather.
He began acting professionally in the early 2000s. Efron made his first television appearance on the series Firefly. He rose to prominence in the late 2000s for his leading role in the High School Musical franchise (2006–2008).
